Welcome to the Daily Gossip: your daily stop-off to find out who in the world of music has been up to what.

Today’s top gossip:

Liam Gallagher has allegedly spoken about Oasis' split and his plans for the future to an Italian waiter. Gallagher, who fled England for Italy's Lake Como along with bassist Andy Bell and their respective partners, is said to have spoken with waiter Vincenzo Della Corte while eating at the Villa D'Este hotel. Della Corte said Gallagher told him Oasis were "all over and there was no way he would get back with Noel". The singer then told him that "Noel has his style of music and he had his and they would be going their separate ways" (Daily Mirror).

From the papers:

Duffy is going out with British Lions rugby player Mike Phillips (The Sun).

Phil Collins says Cristiano Ronaldo sent his two sons Christmas presents, after the two met via the footballer's assistant Rogerio (Four Four Two).

Madonna's daughter Lourdes has recreated her mother's look from the mid-'80s in her cameo appearance in the singer's new video 'Celebration' (Daily Record).

Mark Ronson says he's not a serial shagger, adding that he doesn't "go out on the prowl bedding different girls every night" (Esquire).

David Gest turned up to see a Pete Doherty gig at Camden's Torriano venue on Tuesday night (September 1). Doherty was playing the show in memorial of a fan who passed away recently (NME).
