Welcome to the Daily Gossip: your daily stop-off to find out who in the world of music has been up to what.

Today’s top gossip:

Jedward have been dropped by record company Sony after just one single. The poor performance of last month's debut single 'Under Pressure' led to the decision. The X Factor losers, twins Edward and John Grimes, were beaten to the chart top spot by Owl City. Now, manager (and X Factor judge) Louis Walsh has confirmed the duo have been dropped. "I'm completely committed to Jedward and I know they still have a great career ahead," he insisted. Walsh added that he's "in talks with a major record label" about a new deal for the duo (The Sun).

From the papers:

Bez had to be taken home early from FAC251 in Manchester after getting so out of it that he fell over on the dancefloor, slumped in the DJ box and then threw up over himself (The Sun).

Michael Jackson's 'secret son' Omer Bhatti has allegedly changed his middle name from Jamal to Michael, telling the singer's other children, "I'm your new daddy – call me Michael" (Daily Star).

Lady Gaga appeared to nod off onstage at her Auckland, New Zealand gig on Saturday (March 13) (various).

Florence Welch says she punched an ex-boyfriend on Valentine's Day once (Daily Star).
