Welcome to the Daily Gossip: your daily stop-off to find out who in the world of music has been up to what.

Today’s top gossip:

Former Oasis drummer Tony McCarroll looks set to dish the dirt on his time in the band. McCarroll, who was in Oasis from 1991 until 1995, when he was sacked by Noel Gallagher, releases a book titled 'Oasis: The Truth, the Noel Truth, is Nothing Like the Truth' on October 4. In 1999 the drummer settled out of court with Oasis and got a £600,000 payout , effectively severing all royalty and contractual ties to the band (The Sun).

From the papers:

Cheryl Cole's mum Joan hung out with her and will.i.am backstage at London's O2 Arena on Wednesday (May 5) (various).

Pete Doherty bought a 50p poster from a village charity stall in Bishop's Waltham, Hants (various).

Meat Loaf says he's addicted to playing computer games like BattleKnight. Apparently they fill the same hole in his life as cocaine and alcohol used to (Daily Star).

Katy Perry says she and Snoop Dogg are making their own version of Jay-Z and Alicia Keys' 'Empire State Of Mind'. It's called 'California Gurls' (Daily Record).
