Andres Iniesta invites Kasabian to party in Barcelona – Daily Gossip

Welcome to the Daily Gossip: your daily stop-off to find out who in the world of music has been up to what.

Today's top gossip:

Spain's World Cup goal-scoring hero Andres Iniesta has revealed Kasabian helped to inspire his team's tournament win. Iniesta, who scored the only goal in the final against the Netherlands on Sunday (July 11), said the Leicester four-piece are his favourite band. "I want to say a big thank you to them," the footballer said. "I want to invite them as my guests to come and watch the world's greatest football match between Barcelona and Real Madrid at the Camp Nou," he added: "I will even sort it for them to come and have a kickaround on the pitch the day before. We can go out and have a mad night in Barcelona and celebrate the World Cup win properly." Yesterday, Kasabian offered to play Spain's World Cup celebration party (The Sun).

From the papers:

Noel Gallagher ate with Naomi Campbell and Nelson Mandela's daughter Zindzi before attending the World Cup final. He was wearing a Spanish scarf for the match (The Sun).

Big Boi says he wants to live on a farm and breed dogs (Daily Star).

John Lennon's son Sean invoked the wrath of Beatles fans after posting a picture online of Lady Gaga playing a white piano owned by his father, while wearing suspenders, in Yoko Ono's Dakota apartment in New York (The Sun).

The Drums' Jonathan Pierce says the band want to be "more boring" (Daily Star).

Jay-Z watched the World Cup final backstage at T In The Park, though it seemed like he was probably supporting the Netherlands as he didn't react when Spain scored the tournament's winning goal.
