Eminem has reportedly revealed that Elton John calls him every week to check his recovery is on track. "He's somebody who's in the business and can identify and relate to the lifestyle and how hectic things can be for artists," the rapper said. "He understands the pressure." (The Daily Record).

Cheryl Cole is set to return to The X Factor after recovering from malaria. The singer is hoping to make her comeback this Friday (July 30) and is also due to let cameras into her Surrey home for her first interview - with Xtra Factor host Konnie Huq - since she was struck down with the bug with . PiL frontman John Lydon was apparently overjoyed when a fan asked him to sign her breasts after their recent gig at the O2 Academy in Liverpool. "Usually my fans give me a CD to sign but I won't complain if this happens more often," he joked (Daily Star).

Amy Winehouse is believed to have started playing golf. The singer apparently took to the fairway recently and enjoyed it so much she wants to take up the sport. "She played nine holes and loved it, she had a natural swing," a friend said. "Amy wants to learn how to play properly" (The Sun).

Shakin' Stevens has been taken to hospital after collapsing at home. The 62-year-old was said to be suffering with "exhaustion" because he was under pressure to complete his new album. "No-one saw this coming," his spokesman said. "However, he was under a lot of pressure with the album" (The Daily Mirror).

Spice Girl Geri Halliwell was spotted at the Cartier International Polo event at the Guards Polo Club in Windsor yesterday (July 25) (The Daily Mirror).
