Emma Bunton stuck in a lift, Jason Orange receives a poker cake – your music gossip stop
Welcome to the Daily Gossip: your daily stop-off to find out who in the world of music has been up to what.
Today's top gossip:
Rihanna has said she would love to do a steamy duet with Lady Gaga. "A collaboration between Gaga and myself would be really cool because we do a similar type of music and we both really love fashion," she said. "I'm sure it would be a very hot and sexy video" (The Daily Record).
From the papers:
Take That's Jason Orange celebrated his 40th birthday by receiving a cake in the shape of a poker table. The singer is apparently a keen player and was as shocked as anyone when a three foot cake was wheeled in by his loved ones for his bash. "It looked incredible - there were piles of poker chips and cards, all the markings of a poker table and figurines that looked just like Jason and his brothers," a partygoer said (The Sun).
The Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood has paid tribute to the late snooker star Alex Higgins. The 61-year-old was found dead last weekend (July 24), with Wood saying: "He was a terrific guy and a good friend. Much of my love for snooker came from watching him - just magic" (The Sun).
Spice Girl Emma Bunton reportedly got stuck in a lift while filming her Channel 5 show Don't Stop Believing just minutes before going on air (Daily Star).
Tinchy Stryder's recent gig at the GL1 leisure centre in Gloucester was apparently treated "like a warzone" as 12 police officers, sniffer dogs and electronic knife detectors were pulled in for the show (Daily Star).
