Welcome to the Daily Gossip: your daily stop-off to find out who in the world of music has been up to what.

Today's top gossip:

The one 'friend' Kanye West is following on Twitter has admitted that he doesn't like the rapper's music, and hinted that he isn't pleased with the level of attention thrust upon him in recent days.

For reasons only known to himself, West chose to follow Steven Holmes, 19, from Coventry, ahead of his other 400,000 followers. Speaking in reaction to the situation, which has seen thousands of West's fans also follow Holmes, the bemused student gave a single interview to his local paper, the Coventry Telegraph. "Fame has never appealed to me. It’s vacuous," he said, before adding: "Before this weekend I thought it would be cool to have a celebrity following me on Twitter, but now I think it's really not worth it."

After the interview had been published he tweeted: "I won't be speaking to anybody else, surprisingly not everyone wants to be famous. That's all I'm saying – peace out x."
