Groove Armada: 'We almost got into a punch-up with Kings Of Leon' – Daily Gossip
Welcome to the Daily Gossip: your daily stop-off to find out who in the world of music has been up to what.

Today's top gossip:

Kings Of Leon reportedly almost got into a punch-up with Groove Armada, according to one half of the electro duo. Tom Findlay revealed that he squared up to drummer Nathan Followill when they arrived onsite at last month's V Festival after he objected to the Followills' security preventing him from going to his dressing room. "I gave the worldwide one-fingered sign of dislike as the cars went past," he said. "The last one stopped, the drummer got out making 'come on then'-type gestures. I said, 'Come on then' and he went back behind his bodyguards and said, 'I want them removed.'" (Daily Mirror).

From the papers:

Kasabian have hinted that they will be scoring the soundtrack to a new wrestling sitcom starring This Is England's Stephen Graham. Walk Like A Panther is set to start filming in November in a town hall in Yorkshire (The Sun).

Liam Gallagher has been offering Professor Green some singing tips. The rapper said he met the former Oasis frontman at a party recently and he urged him to stop rapping. "Liam spun me round and said, 'I like your tones, I don't give a fuck about your rapping but I like your tones. You've got a good voice,'" Green said. The rapper also heaped praise on the singer who he described as his childhood hero. "He shouted, 'Green' then put his hand out to shake mine, I went to shake it and he started air boxing," the rapper added. "I was like, 'Do you want to shake my hand or punch me?' But the banter was wicked, he's a real top bloke," (The Sun).

Duffy is set to make her acting debut as a seductive student in new movie Patagonia. The singer will star alongside Brothers And Sisters actor Matthew Rhys. "When she saw the script she fell in love with the character Sissy," said director Marc Evans. "She is a sort of Welsh Marilyn Monroe character" (Daily Star).

Lily Allen has apparently snapped up a £3 million home in the country complete with a croquet lawn. It is claimed the singer has bought a six-bedroom 17th century house in the Cotswolds. "There have been rumours for a while that she is buying it but we have not been able to say anything until now," a spokeswoman for estate agents Savills said. "She no longer wants it kept secret" (The Sun).

The Sex Pistols' famous 1977 hit 'Pretty Vacant' is reportedly being used for a William Hill TV ad. The bookies are using the track to mark the launch of the Champions League group stages. "We are chuffed to bits the Pistols have agreed to let us use the track," a spokesman added (Daily Star).
