Dane Bowers arrested over mephedrone drug bust - Daily Gossip
Welcome to the Daily Gossip: your daily stop-off to find out what the stars of the music world have been up to in the tabloids and beyond, with the help of plenty of "anonymous sources".

Today's top gossip:

Former Another Level singer Dane Bowers may not make the music news much these days, but he's still in the tabs a fair bit. Today, specifically, because he has been arrested for allegedly being part of a group planning to supply £650,000-worth of illegal drugs.

Bowers has been bailed until January after police stormed properties in Manchester, Somerset, Bolton and Staffordshire on Tuesday (November 16) and found vast quantities of mephedrone, cannabis, cutting agents and other banned highs. Five other men and a woman were arrested in the swoop, which was prompted when police were tipped off that mephedrone was being sold at cage-fighting events across the UK. Bowers promotes such events. Life after pop stardom, eh... (The Sun).

From the papers:

Liam Gallagher and Kasabian's Tom Meighan have been papped hanging out at London's Met Bar, popping outside for a fag and pouting at the snappers (various).

Keith Richards has supposedly said that Mick Jagger is still ruffled by his recent "tiny todger" comment. "He was affected but he deserves it," the guitarist teased, before cryptically adding: "You should hear all the things I failed to mention!" (Daily Star).

Simon Cowell might be generally pleased with blanket coverage of The X Factor in most of the papers, but he's not having it all his way. Roger Daltrey has launched an attack on him, saying he wouldn't know talent "if it bit him on the arse". Here here, Rog (The Sun).

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! Shaun Ryder update: his wife Joanne says the singer recently suffered a collapsed thyroid – which is why he sleeps so much on the show (The Sun).

If one newspaper is to be believed, Prince Harry is trying to get Snoop Dogg and Tinie Tempah to play Prince William and Kate Middleton's engagement party. Unfortunately the well-placed "source" didn't reveal whether it's being held at Mahiki or not (Daily Mirror).

Check back on Monday for the next Daily Gossip.
