According to reports kicking around the papers this morning (January 4), Eminem and Arctic Monkeys have signed on to headline next summer’s V Festival. Festival chiefs are also reportedly hoping to secure Rihanna for a high-profile slot at the event next August, with hopes that she'll join Mr Mathers onstage for 'Love The Way You Lie' (Daily Star).

Lauryn Hill kept fans at a recent gig in Williamsburg, Virginia waiting for four hours for her to come onstage, but refused to apologise for being late. Due on at 8pm (EST), she finally came on at midnight but was unrepentant, saying to the angry crowd: "I spent my entire 20s sacrificing my life to give you love… I know I’m worth the wait." A simple "Sorry, I got stuck in traffic" would have sufficed (Various).

N-Dubz man Dappy thinks his band's love of social networking encourages stalkers, we read. Apparently his details of movements appear online, even when he hasn't penned them himself. He has no intention of quitting Facebook, though… (Daily Star)

Wish Kings Of Leon drummer Nathan Followhill well as he starts rehab from shoulder surgery today. According to the drummer’s Twitter page, Twitter.com/doctorfollowhill, he is going to celebrate by "being lazy".

Two members of '90s girl band B*Witched are outraged that The X Factor judge Louis Walsh has been rude about their new incarnation Barbarellas. Keavy and Adele Lynch, who release their first single as Barbarellas at the end of January, said: "He [Walsh] forgets we sold millions of records" (Daily Star).

And finally, Kanye West has seemingly got so paranoid about his music leaking on to the internet that he plans to only record in secure mansions from now on (The Sun).
