Kings Of Leon beat Prince Harry at table tennis - Daily Gossip
Welcome to the Daily Gossip: your daily stop-off to find out what the stars of the music world have been up to in the tabloids and beyond, with the help of plenty of "anonymous sources".

Today's top gossip:

Kings Of Leon found a novel way to celebrate one of their recent gigs at the London O2 Arena – by playing ping pong with Prince Harry.

The party-loving prince apparently made his presence known backstage with the band by getting sporty with drummer Nathan Followill. "He picked up a ping-pong bat backstage and we went at it," Nathan explained, jokingly adding: "I'm not sure what the etiquette is when you play a prince at table tennis, but hey, I am a king aren't I?" Who won? We'll let Nathan explain that one. "It was a hard-fought battle but I took him in the end," he boasted (The Sun).

From the papers and beyond:

Lady Gaga wore bondage gear when she played a secret gig at New York's Oak Room jazz bar on Wednesday (January 5). Of course, being Gaga, the outfit didn't really shock anyone that much (various).

Florence Welch could be upping sticks and moving to LA, we read, because she's falling for the "romantic" side of the city (Daily Star).

Brother's Lee Newman has responded to Liam Gallagher's recent jibe to NME that the band were nothing more than "little fucking posh lads with tattoos". The Slough act's frontman was equally catty in his response, declaring: "He can say what he likes, I’m more interested with what Noel thinks" (Virtual Festivals).

Meanwhile, Noel Gallagher has joined a new Love Music Love Food Project in association with Teenage Cancer Trust. The project features stars pictured with their favourite food or drink. He's seen sipping a cup of tea, while mucka Paul Weller plumps for a latte. The Courteeners' Liam Fray was pictured clasping a handful of chili peppers (various).

Check back on Monday (January 10) for the next Daily Gossip.
