Today's top gossip:

Aerosmith may have planned to start recording their new album this month, but they've got a bit of a problem in that the band have no idea where guitarist Joe Perry is.

Singer Steven Tyler said: "We're having trouble getting Joe [Perry]. I don't know where he is." Given Perry has publicly criticised Tyler for joining the American Idol judging panel, he's probably still sulking (Rolling Stone).

From the papers and beyond:

Florence And The Machine's Florence Welch joined Drake onstage at his London HMV Hammersmith Apollo gig on Saturday night (January 8) to performed the track 'Fireworks'. Watch a video of the performance by scrolling down and clicking below. The rap/warble love-in could continue further, we read - it's rumoured that the two are duetting on Florence's next album (The Sun).

After a quiet few months Charlotte Church has set about quietly re-announcing herself by slagging people off, we read. According to the Welsh singer Britney Spears is "rude", Avril Lavigne is "a spoilt kid" and Gwen Stefani has "nothing to say" (Daily Mirror).

JLS are starring their own 3D film. According to one of those anonymous sources, the band see it as the "next logical step" (The Sun).

Finally, Will Smith has dug into his contacts book to help his daughter Willow's flourishing pop career, recruiting his former collaborator DJ Jazzy Jeff. Rapper Skillz said that he and "Jazzy Jeff are... working on some stuff for Willow Smith's album" (Bet.com).
