Welcome to the Daily Gossip: your daily stop-off to find out what the stars of the music world have been up to in the tabloids and beyond, with the help of plenty of "anonymous sources".

Today's top gossip:

The escapades from Tuesday's (February 15) Brit Awards continue to dominate the tabs, with the focus shifting from the ceremony to the afterparties.

One band who seem to have had a night they won't remember are Mumford and Sons. The folk quartet, who were celebrating winning the award for Best British Album, apparently hit Take That's afterparty at the Savoy Hotel, which had a whopping £400,000 put behind the bar.

After the band nailed their bodyweights in booze and one of them puked their guts out in a flowerpot, they supposedly finally left when singer Marcus Mumford's ex Laura Marling turned up. Sounds like quite a night (Daily Mirror).

From the papers and beyond:

The Mumfords' triumph has had people queuing up to say they'd like to work with them, with Cee Lo Green and Adele among those looking for a collaboration (Daily Star).

Never ones to miss a knees-up, The View were at the official Brits afterparty despite not being nominated for anything. At the bash they found time to tell the red-tops that they'd love one of their tracks to be covered on The X FactorKyle Falconer said it'd be the only way they'll ever be nominated. We're hoping for a big ballad version of 'Wasted Little DJs' (Daily Record).

Plan B was allegedly fuming after Take That's protest-inspired performance, as he reckoned they'd ripped off his idea. A source said: "He really threw his toys out of the pram because Take That's riot act went down so well. He's had the idea for months" (Daily Record).

Move over Willow Smith. Simon Cowell has reportedly signed a 10-year-old Canadian singer after seeing her perform on YouTube. Heather Russell, who cites Prince, Justin Timberlake, Queen and Alicia Keys as her main musical influences, attracted Cowell's attention after her videos got repeated viewings on the site. A spokesperson said of the decision: "Simon [Cowell] just loved her. He said she was amazingly talented from the first time he saw her" (Independent).

Finally, Justin Bieber has admitted an unlikely inspiration in the form of much maligned UK singer Craig David. The pint-sized pop star tweeted after attending the premiere of his new film: "I got to meet Craig David who has been an influence since day one." Bieber also found time to express his views on some controversial topics at the pre-premiere press conference, airing his opinions on sex before marriage and abortion (
