'Smash It Up: The Anthology 1976-1987' will be released in May...

THE CHAOS YEARS

Damned are set to release 'SMASH IT UP: THE ANTHOLOGY 1976-1987', a career defining retrospective album, in May.

The double CD, due on May 13 through Sanctuary, will cover all ground, from their beginnings in punk with first single 'New Rose' in 1976, to their biggest chart hit, a cover of 'Eloise' in 1986. The album is just one of a number of punk collections and greatest hits set to appear this summer, keen to make the most of the 25th anniversary of punk.

The band will play London's Shepherd's Bush Empire on July 12.
