Africa Exprez to hit Paris with Damon Albarn, Amadou & Mariam and more
Collaborative event to take over Festival FNAC Indétendances 2009
Africa Exprez is set to make its debut in France, with Damon Albarn, Patrick Wolf, Amadou & Mariam and Jamie T among those taking part.
The collective will headline the Festival FNAC Indétendances 2009 in Paris on August 5.
The Magic Numbers, Oumou Sangare, Mongrel, Rachid Taha, Bashy,The Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, Souad Massi,Tony Allen, Vieux Farka Toure,Konono No 1 and Ebony Bones are also among those taking part in the collaborative concert.
Meanwhile a CD and DVD 'Africa Express Presents…' will be available exclusively through Puma and Fnac stores, and as a download through Fnac.com and AWAL/iTunes from July 27.
