LAST NIGHT A DJ SAVED MY PLANT LIFE
But is Islington Council selling it in the first place?...
DANNY
RAMPLING is trying to buy a community garden in HIGHBURY,
NORTH LONDON, following fears that the local council might be
selling it for redevelopment.
According to the London Evening Standard, Arvon
Corner garden is kept by local residents, working voluntarily. Rampling,
the host of Radio 1's Lovegroove Dance Party,
said: 'I'll buy the land myself and keep it as a garden for the community. We
have enough building work going on in this part of Islington.
There aren't enough green spaces."
However, council leader Steve Hitchins said that there were
currently no plans for the site to be sold.
