Dave Grohl guests on song by LA singer-songwriter Taylor Greenwood - watch

'Sing You To Sleep' was co-written by the Foo Fighters frontman

Dave Grohl has guested on song by Los Angeles singer-songwriter Taylor Greenwood.

The Foo Fighters frontman plays acoustic guitar on 'Sing You To Sleep', which you can listen to and watch the video for by clicking above. The song was co-written by Grohl and Greenwood and is being released in order to raise money for Project Night Night, a charity which provides blankets, books, and educational materials for homeless children.

Grohl has commented about working with Greenwood, stating: "In this day and age where processed production can make anyone America's next big thing, Taylor Greenwood is so refreshing because she is the real deal. A truly amazing vocalist."

Grohl will also be guesting with Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins' side-project The Birds Of Satan, who release their debut album in April. The band will release their self-titled debut on April 14, with Hawkins providing drums and vocals on the album as well as playing piano. Nirvana guitarist Pat Smear joins Grohl on the list of guest artists alongside Drew Hester and keyboard player Rami Jaffee.

Foo Fighters recently revealed that the sessions for their new album are "fucking on" and posted a picture of a row of master tapes labelled 'Foo Fighters LP 8' to their official Instagram.
