Bowie, White Stripes and more recount their favourite gigs
A new book features reflections from the stars
David Bowie, The White Stripes and Led Zeppelin are among the musicians, authors and critics have written about some of the most unforgettable concerts they’ve attended in a new book.
The recollections appear in ‘The Show I'll Never Forget: 50 Writers Relive Their Most Memorable Concert-going Experience’, edited by Sean Manning.
The book is available now in hardback and on January 15 in paperback.
It features first-person accounts by Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth, The New Pornographers’ Carl Newman, authors including Daniel Handler and Jerry Stahl, comic writer Harvey Pekar and many other notable figures.
The contributors write about some of the remarkable shows they’ve attended by artists including Metric, Prince, Public Image Ltd. and Led Zeppelin.
