BRIAN AND BOWIE BLAST BRITS WITH BOLAN
They will pay a homage to [a]T-Rex[/a] at awards show...
David Bowie is teaming up with PLACEBO to perform a cover of T-Rex's classic '20th Century Boy' at the 1999 Brit Awards Ceremony.
Placebo performed the song for the soundtrack of Velvet Goldmine, though Bowie refused permission for his own music to be used in the film.
They'll join The MANIC STREET PREACHERS (who have been nominated for Best British Group, Best British Album, Best British Single) and Robbie Williams (who has a record-breaking six nominations: Best British Album, Best British Male Solo, twice Best British Single and twice Best British Video) at the event, which is being held at London Docklands Arena on February 16.
Molko and Bowie will link up again later this year when Brian will chat live with fans on BowieNet, the rock stars's own internet website.
Placebo have received a Brit Awards Best British Video nomination for 'Pure Morning'.
