And his latest Brian Eno collaboration is almost completed

David Byrne is set to release a new album with Brian Eno, and is also working on a collaboration with Fatboy Slim, he told NME.COM at a recent event in New York.

After his appearance with Paul Simon at the Brooklyn Academy Of Music last week (April 9) the former Talking Heads front man also said “I’m finishing up a record with Brian Eno, a musician that I worked with 30 years ago. We did a record together of songs, and that’ll come out. And I’m also working on a collaboration with Fatboy Slim, also songs, I don’t know when that’ll be done but sometime.”

As previously reported, Byrne performed ‘I Know What I Know’ and ‘You Can Call Me Al’ during the ‘Under African Skies’ event which was attended by a myriad of celebrities including Susan Sarandon, Cynthia Nixon, Parker Posey, Philip Glass and Steve Buscemi.

Paul and I had met a few times and we have some musical interests in common and he asked if I would do it,” Byrne explained

“I know these songs and I just thought this is going to be…not exactly easy…but it’s not that hard. It’s in New York, I don’t have to go anywhere, I’m not on tour, I’m just working on writing and recording stuff of my own so I thought this will be fun!”
