David Byrne rules out Talking Heads reunion

David Byrne has issued a stark response to rumours about reforming Talking Heads.

The band, who split in 1991, have only played together once since then - taking to the stage in 2002 to be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.

Speaking to Metro, Byrne said he has little desire to reunite the band properly.

"I'm not keen and it's unlikely to happen," he said. "I don't need the money badly enough."

Byrne starts his UK tour on Friday (March 27), playing the following venues:

Bristol Colston Hall (27)
Birmingham Symphony Hall (29)
Manchester Bridgewater Hall (30)
Glasgow Royal Concert Hall (31)
Gateshead The Sage (April 1)
Liverpool Philharmonic Hall (3)
Sheffield City Hall (4)
Dublin National Concert Hall (6)
Belfast Waterfront (7)
Oxford New Theatre (9)
Nottingham Royal Centre (11)
London Royal Festival Hall (12/13)
Brighton Dome (14)
