The chart-smashing singer-songwriter releases a new single to coincide with the dates...

GRAY DAYS

David Gray, whose last single 'BABYLON' went into the UK chart at Number 5, is to embark on a 13-date tour of the UK in October.

He has also added a second date in London in August, where he will now play the Shepherd's Bush Empire on August 2 and 3.

The full tour dates are: Liverpool University (October 6) Leeds University (7) Cardiff University (8) Wolverhampton Wulfrun Hall (9) Oxford Brookes University (11) Bristol University (12) Portsmouth Pyramid (13) Norwich UEA (15) Sheffield University (16) Nottingham Rock City (17) Leicester De Montfort University (18) Newcastle University (22) Manchester Academy (23)

He also appears at this weekend's T In The Park festival, playing the Main Stage on Saturday (July 8), and the Guildford Festival on July 30.

For tickets ring the NME 24-Hour Ticketline on 0870 1 663663. Calls are charged at national standard rate. Since its release in May, Gray's album 'White Ladder', out on East West records has gradually risen up the charts and is now at Number 7.

A second single from the album is likely to be released closer to the time of the tour, but details have yet to be confirmed.
