Techno pioneer [a]David Holmes[/a] looks set to air new material at a hometown show at Belfast's Limelight Club next month...
David Holmes looks set to unveil tracks from his much anticipated new album 'Bow Down To The Exit Sign' at a hometown show in Belfast's Limelight club on April 16.
'Bow Down To The Exit Sign', his third album outside of soundtrack work, sees him moving even further leftfield than before.
Recorded mostly in New York, it features notable collaborations with Bobby Gillespie, Martina Toppley Bird of Tricky fame and Jagz Kooner, formerly of Sabres Of Paradise.
The album will be released through Go!Discs on May 29.
The April gig rounds off a week long series of dance events billed as digitalT-Belfest 2000. Featuring artists such as Darren Emerson, The Orb's Alex Patterson and Skint Records boss Damien Harris, it will include artist performances, panel discussions on working within the music industry and a series of showcase gigs focusing on new British and Irish talent.
Several other dance names, including Two Lone Swordsmen's Keith Tennison, Andrea Parker of Mo'wax and house duo Agnelli and Nelson are also slated to appear.
The events kick off with Darren Emerson at Belfast's Shine club on April 8.
