Deadmau5 has launched an unprovoked attack on Kanye West, saying he would never work with the rapper and that he "hates" him.

EDM producer Deadmau5, who has previously criticised Madonna and dance music itself, made his anti-Kanye comments during an interview with Vibe in which he was asked about working with other artists on their live show and giving tips on how they can match his unique visual performances. Answering the question, Deadmau5 said: "Anyone other than fucking Kanye. I fucking hate him."

Deadmau5, whose real name is Joel Zimmerman, also attacked EDM once again, stating: "Yeah, I just renamed it. I called it 'Event-Driven Marketing'." The outspoken producer appears on the February/March cover of Vibe alongside Mary J Blige.

Meanwhile, Kanye West has revealed he will play a surprise gig in London next weekend (February 24). The rapper will perform a headline show at London's Hammersmith Apollo on Sunday, February 24. The gig follows a number of one-off performances West has been giving in America and Abu Dhabi this year. Tickets for the show go on pre-sale today (February 14) with general sale tickets available from 9am Friday (February 15) morning.
