Deadmau5 has announced details of a new double-album entitled 'While(1<2)', to be released next month (June).

The album will comprise 25 tracks and be available digitally from June 17 and physically, as well as via stream, from June 23 on mau5trap/Virgin EMI Records. The album's lead single 'Avarita' will receive its world premiere this Friday (May 16) on Pete Tong's BBC Radio 1 show. A preview of the song can be heard below now.

Speaking about the album, Deadmau5 says: "It's a good mix of shit I want to do versus shit people want to hear or what they would expect. It's a good balance. It's not like, 'Oh, it's such a departure. He's doing smooth jazz'.''

Deadmau5 recently hit out at Arcade Fire following comments made by frontman Win Butler at Coachella festival. The debate centred around Arcade Fire's criticism of the proliferation of electronic acts on the bill with Deadmau5 asking, "Arcade fire needs to settle down. Dafuqs yer problem?"

The dubstep artist is also set to headline this summer's SW4 festival in London. The artist will appear at the festival, which takes place on Clapham Common, on August 24. The show will be Deadmau5's only London performance of 2014 and his first London appearance in over two years.
