'It's Unsustainable' to come out in autumn

Death Cab For Cutie guitarist Chris Walla is readying his debut solo record, tentatively set for an autumn release.

Walla is currently working on the album at his Portland, Oregon studio having taken a break to produce albums for Tegan and Sara and The Decemberists.

Billboard reports that Walla is playing every instrument on the album, apart from drums, which will be covered by his Death Cab For Cutie bandmates Nathan Good and Jason McGerr.

In addition to Walla’s solo material, the album will include two tracks that were left off last year’s Death Cab For Cutie release ’Plans’.
