THAT SEVENTIES BAND!

Death From Above are no more…

DEATH FROM ABOVE have been forced to change their name.

The Canadian two-piece consisting of Jesse F Keeler and Sebastien Grainger will now operate under the name Death From Above 1979.

The change comes after problems with New York producers DFA, who own the copyright to all the variants of the name Death From Above.

About the name change, Grainger said: "1979 is the year of my birth. 1979 is the year of ’Off The Wall’. 1979 is the last year of the last cool decade. 1979 is scratched into my arm. 1979 is scratched into my arm. 1979 is scratched into my fucking arm."

Death From Above 1979's limited debut single 'Blood On Our Hands' is sold out, but the group plan to release a new single 'Romantic Rights' in September.
