Debbie Harry, Adam Green for Gimme Shelter

Ad-Rock, Moby will also take part in New York benefit

Debbie Harry and Adam Green are among the acts who will take part in the 3rd Annual Gimme Shelter Rock And Rescue event, taking place in New York on October 6.

Hosted by Ad-Rock of the Beastie Boys and actress Gina Gershon, the event is a co-venture with Rational Animal and the ASPCA to end euthanasia of healthy and treatable animals in city shelters by 2015.

Lissy Trullie, Jesse Malin, Goonsquad, Bloody Social and Earl Greyhound will also perform, and Moby and J.D. Samson of Le Tigre will DJ during proceedings, which will take place at Highline Ballroom in Chelsea.
