DEFTONES singer CHINO MORENO is to head out for a UK tour with his new side project.
Team Sleep are set to follow the May 9 release of their self-titled album with a string of live dates.
Moreno has teamed up friend Todd Wilkinson for the project, which also features DJ Crook, drummer Zach Hill and bassist Rick Verrett.
Wilkinson said: “We were never going to make a record, or start a band. I was just sitting at home, playing guitar, and I started recording some stuff.”
He added: “It was never about trying to play shows, record in a studio, or anything of that sort. It was just bumming around. I had never been in a band, and I never wanted to be - we were just friends."
The Team Sleep tour will call at:
Wolverhampton Wulfrun Hall (June 13)
Glasgow Garage (14)
Manchester Carling Academy 2 (15)
London Mean Fiddler (16)
Portsmouth Pyramid Centre (17)
