Deftones were awarded the freedom of their hometown of SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA on Monday night (August 14) during a concert in the city.
Gina Montoya from Sacramento's mayor's office presented the band with the keys to the city citing their "continued artistic achievement from the City that loves them the most" as the reason - prompting singer Chino Moreno to joke "So, where can we get in for free with this key?"
The show marked the end of the first leg of their US tour. They kick off a raft of European dates with a show in Germany on Saturday (August 19) and head to the UK for appearances at the Reading/Leeds festival on August 26 and 27.
