Deftones have announced a UK tour for February 2013.

The band, who last played the UK in 2011 at the Reading and Leeds Festivals, will play five dates, kicking off in Glasgow, before heading to Nottingham, Manchester, Birmingham and London.

Last month, (September 20), Deftones unveiled the first track from their new album 'Koi No Yokan'. The song, which is titled 'Leathers', is available as a free download from the band's official website, Deftones.com. You can also hear it below.

'Koi No Yokan' is the Sacramento metal band's seventh full-length effort and will be released on November 12 in the UK and November 13 in the US. The record is the follow-up to 2010's 'Diamond Eyes' and was again recorded in Los Angeles with producer Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Rush). It contains a total of 11 tracks, with a single 'Tempest' released on October 9.

Speaking about the recording process, drummer Abe Cunningham said: "We kind of adopted this new way of doing things, where we'd have a 7 or 8 hour work day instead of just working on things a piece at a time. It enabled us to be a lot more efficient."

Singer Chino Moreno added: "In the past, one of us would write something, record it, and then weeks – or even months – later, someone else would come along and add to it. We had totally lost that communal vibe. This time, all of the songs started with just the five of us together in a room, playing."

Deftones will play:

Glasgow Barrowland (February 15, 2013)
Nottingham Rock City (16)
Manchester Academy (18)
Birmingham O2 Academy (19)
London O2 Brixton Academy (20)

Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday October 26 and are priced £28.50 in London and £26.50 elsewhere. To check the availability of Deftones tickets and get all the latest listings, go to NME.COM/TICKETS now, or call 0871 230 1094.
