Delays claim they were behind last night's (Feb 26) earthquake
The Brighton band apologise for 'rocking too hard'
The band had finished performing at the Lamp venue in Hull and had just gone to a lock in at a local pub when the earthquake, measuring 5.2 on the Richter Scale, struck.
Writing on the band’s Myspace site, drummer Rowly explained what happened when the earthquake hit.
He said: “I immediately escorted my fellow Delays to the nearest archway which is the safest place to be in times like this, where we waited it out and apologised to the locals for our show maybe rocking too hard.
“They were all lovely though and said it was worth every piece of cracked china. We did feel a pang of guilt this morning though when TV broadcast some heartbreaking images of a roof with one slate missing and a lawn with half a brick on it.”
Delays are set to continue the tour, in support of their album 'Everything's The Rush', out on April 28.
The band call at the following venues:
Cambridge Graduate (February 27)
Northampton Soundhaus (March 2)
