Depeche Mode are to release a live DVD later this year featuring performances from their current world tour.
The electro veterans’ two shows last weekend (February 18/19) at Milan’s Filaforum were recorded for the release, which is expected to come out in September.
Keyboard player Andrew Fletcher told Billboard, "We're quite excited, because the audience went absolutely bananas. We did Paris [for the last DVD], and we thought we'd do Milan since we work there a lot, and it worked out really well."
The DVD was directed by Blue Leach, who has been travelling with the band since the start of the world tour in support of the 2005 album ‘Playing the Angel’.
Fletcher added: "He's been on the road with us so he seemed like the obvious choice. He's been doing loads of offstage stuff throughout the whole tour, so there will be all that too."
Depeche Mode are currently on the European indoor leg of a world tour. They recently announced a number of festival appearances for 2005, including slots at Californian bash Coachella (April 29), the 02 Wireless Festival in London (June 25) and the Spanish favourite Benicassim on July 23.
