Depeche Mode cancel more shows due to Dave Gahan's illness
Singer became ill with gastroenteritis earlier this week
Depeche Mode have been forced to cancel five upcoming shows in reaction to frontman Dave Gahan being hospitalised earlier this week (May 12).
The singer was rushed to hospital before the band took the stage for their Athens show, after being struck with a severe bout of gastroenteritis.
As a result of Gahan's illness, the following five Depeche Mode gigs have been cancelled.
Istanbul Santral (May 14)
Bucharest Izvor Park (16)
Sofia Vasil Levski Stadium (18)
Belgrade USCE Park (20
Zagreb Arena (21)
A statement released on behalf of the band stated that Gahan is currently undergoing further tests. It advises fans to hold on to their tickets for the cancelled shows.
"Ticket holders for the above shows are advised to hold on to their tickets as an announcement will be made shortly in regard to rescheduled dates or final cancellation," the statement read.
