HAMSTRUNG!

Beyonce tears a leg muscle during rehearsal…

DESTINY’S CHILD may have to delay some of the promotional work in support of their forthcoming album ’DESTINY FULFILLED’ after BEYONCE KNOWLES tore a leg muscle in rehearsals.

The singer injured her right hamstring – a muscle at the back of the knee – while rehearsing in Los Angeles (September 28) for a upcoming television special.

Columbia Records spokesperson Yvette Noel-Schure said: "She overdid it. We're all keeping our fingers crossed that, because she's young and healthy, it heals fast."

She added: "There are a lot of things in place that we may have to shift. Not the album, which is finished, but side (appearances). We'll know more after a week."

According to Billboard, Beyonce was treated by a private sports-injury specialist and despite being able to walk, was advised to avoid dancing and other strenuous physical activity for about a week.

As previously reported on NME.COM, the first single to be taken from the LP will be 'Lose My Breath'.

'Destiny Fulfilled', due out on November 16 in the US, will be the girls’ fourth album and follows the success of 2001’s 'Survivor'.
