DESTINY'S CHILD GO DADROCK!
The father of Beyonce Knowles is being tipped for a top job at Columbia Records...
According to industry insiders, Knowles, who quit his job to manage the group full-time over a decade ago, is said to be in talks to become Senior Vice President at the label. A similar role was held several years ago by the father of rap and R&B producer Jermaine Dupri.
Neither Knowles nor Columbia Records have confirmed the speculation, but following the group's success last year and a number of personnel changes, he has become seen as both a nurturer of talent and a hard taskmaster.
Destiny's Child's forthcoming album, 'Survivor', will be released in April and will be followed by solo joints from Beyonce, Kelly and Michelle. Knowles has also revealed that his younger daughter Solange will make her recording debut later this year.
