Devendra Banhart records new album with side-project
Singer also pens intro to poetry book
Devendra Banhart has been writing and recording a full-length album with his side project band, Megapuss.
The "crunk, jazz, pop" band also features Priestbird drummer Greg Rogove. The working title of the new album is reportedly 'Surfin'.
Meanwhile, Banhart has made a guest appearance in Brazilian songstress Cibelle's video for 'London London', in which the pair ride through the streets of London in a horse-drawn carriage and dance on building rooftops. You can catch the video here.
In addition, the prolific musician has written the preface for 'We Meet', a collection of West Coast poet Kenneth Patchen's poetry and illustrations.
