Dexys Midnight Runners, Public Image Limited, The Specials BBC Sessions set for release

EMI teams up with BBC for digital releases

Rare tracks from Public Image Ltd., Dexys Midnight Runners and The Specials are set to be released digitally.

The songs, which were all recorded for BBC Sessions and Concerts, are being made available online starting this September. Many were originally broadcast on John Peel's BBC Radio 1 show.

Other band's featured in the series include The Stranglers, The Selector, Gang Of Four and Rich Kids.

The releases will go online in three separate instalments – on September 14, November 9 and December 7.
