The stations are to replace their normal programmes with "unobtrusive adult-orientated hits" for the rest of the week...

MTV AND VH-1 RESUME BROADCASTING

MTV and VH-1 have just resumed broadcast of music videos in the US, replacing the rolling news feed that has been broadcast on the station since yesterday's (September 11) terrorist attacks.

At present it is unclear the exact nature of what is being broadcast, though it is believed their policy will be similar to that of MTV in the UK.

As previously revealed, the station here have dropped all their shows for the rest of the week and instead will broadcast videos of "unobtrusive adult-orientated hits" such as Dido, Travis and Madonna.
