Dinosaur Jr have announced plans for a five date tour of the UK.

Set to take place in January and February of next year, the shows will kick off at Glasgow Arches on January 30, 2013 stopping at Leeds, Manchester and Brighton and then finishing up at Bristol Fiddlers Club on February 3.

The shows make up part of a larger European tour. More dates will be added to the tour soon. Tickets go on general sale November 23 at 9am (GMT).

Scroll down to watch the video to the band's last single, 'Watch The Corners'. Dinosaur Jr released their 10th studio album, 'I Bet On Sky', in September.

Johnny Marr will join Dinosaur Jr for a special performance in New York next month.

Dinosaur Jr will play two sets on December 1 at Terminal 5, the first being a full performance to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their 1987 album 'You're Living All Over Me'. A special second set will see the band joined by guest stars.
