Producer Diplo has said that he wants to work with Jack White.
The renowned knob twiddler, who has previously collaborated with artists such as MIA, Beyonce and Rolo Tomassi, told the Riverfront Times that he was a big fan of the former White Stripes man and would be interested in hooking up with him in the studio.
When asked if there was anyone he would like to work with in the future, he replied:
Yeah – plenty of people. Like Jack White is amazing. Someone like that.
He went on to add: "It could be – I don't know. I'm just lucky I'm even doing anything. I just like to keep on working and make music and have people listen to it. I never pick an artist to produce, they just hit me up and every time it's been a good experience."
The producer is likely to have his hands full for the foreseeable future, though – last week (March 29), he revealed that he had been hard at work on a reggae album with rapper Snoop Dogg. The pair are reportedly hitting the studio this month to continue sessions on the LP.
Jack White's schedule, meanwhile, will also be filling up as he prepares to release his debut solo LP 'Blunderbuss' on April 23. The former White Stripes man, who has already sold out a previously announced date at London's HMV Hammersmith Apollo on June 22, also recently announced details of a second UK show to take place this summer. He will now also play the UK Capital's O2 Academy Brixton on June 21, and is also scheduled to perform at Radio 1's Hackney Weekend, which takes place on June 23-24.
