Skrillex and Diplo stopped by police as they attempt to DJ from dressing room window – watch

Jack Ü pair treated fans after Kings Day festival in Amsterdam earlier this week

Diplo and Skrillex were stopped by police in Amsterdam after setting up and DJing to fans from their dressing room.

The moment was documented by Diplo on Instagram. He explained what happened by saying: “Set up turntables outside our dressing room after kings day fest and played music out the window. Cops turned it down cause we stopped traffic.”

Kings Day Festival took place in Amsterdam on April 27 and saw performances from Knife Party and Kygo in addition to Diplo and Jack Ü.

This was not the first time Skrillex and Diplo have run into trouble with the police this year after the duo’s attempt to DJ for 24 hours straight in February was also halted by police.

The pair released their joint Jack Ü album three hours into their attempt, which was live streamed online from a location in Santa Monica. However, as claimed by Diplo on Twitter, authorities ended the marathon effort with six hours left to go.

Meanwhile, Major Lazer’s new album ‘Peace Is The Mission’, will be released in June.

The album is the follow up to 2013 record ‘Free The Universe’ and features appearances from MØ, Ellie Goulding, Travi$ Scott, 2 Chainz, Pusha T and Elliphant among others. There is also a remix for the Ariana Grande song ‘All My Love’, which appeared on The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part One soundtrack.
