Carl Barat to be Road To V competition adviser
Dirty Pretty Things man signs up to mentor bands in competition
Dirty Pretty Things' Carl Barat has signed up to be on the panel of advisors for the Road To V competition, which will see bands compete for a slot on the V Festival bill for 2008.
Barat joins a slew of music industry figures, including NME's Mark Beaumont, on the panel.
The competition will see 14 bands compete in a live stage of the competition, with Channel 4 viewers voting for which band they want to go on and bag a slot at the festival after watching live broadcasts of gigs during the summer.
The bands will be given advice along the way from the panelists, including Barat.
