Dirty Pretty Things man set for new silver screen role
Dirty Pretty Things frontman Carl Barat is set to follow up his role as Gene Vincent in the forthcoming movie 'Telstar' by playing the part of a scientist in a British film.
Barat told The Sunday Mail that he was looking forward to the new role – although didn't reveal the title of the forthcoming film he was set for.
"I have something coming up," he said. "It's a very different direction [to 'Telstar'] – a part you really would not expect me to play which makes it very exciting.
"I'll be playing a scientist in a new British film which will be weird but cool."
'Telstar', which is about the life of songwriter/producer Joe Meek, is set to premiere at the London Film Festival later this month.
