Disclosure have confirmed that they have collaborated with Lorde for their upcoming LP.

The electronic duo recently announced that their own second record 'Caracal' will be released on September 25.

The album, the group's follow-up to 2013's 'Settle', includes Gregory Porter-featuring single 'Holding On', with the pair also promising other "big names" set to appear on the full-length.

With Lorde previously hinting that she was "making tunes" with Disclosure, the brothers - Guy and Howard Lawrence - have now verified the news to Rolling Stone.

Of their Lorde team-up, Howard said: "She turned up on her own, no management or bodyguard. That's the most equal collaboration on the record. You can really hear her sound — she has this sassy yet vulnerable thing."

Meanwhile, the UK outfit have also confirmed that Sam Smith will appear on the LP, following their breakthrough collaboration 'Latch'.

"It was really exciting, 'cause we hadn't seen him in so long," Howard added to Rolling Stone.

"We had three whole days to hang out with Sam and write, which are two of my favourite things to do."

In a statement regarding the LP, Howard Lawrence recently explained how the pair drew influence from the Caracal, which is a kind of wild cat sometimes called the Desert Lynx or African Lynx.

"I just love the way they look, their physical capabilities and their anonymity," he said. "It felt like a perfect fit for our Wild Life brand too, so the Caracal made perfect sense as the lead visual for the new album and over the course of recording, it also felt like a natural title for the new record too."
