Distillers guitarist plans release

The Distillers' guitarist Tony Belivaqua's band The Drips are to release their debut album.

Also featuring former members of The Bronx, Matt Caughthran and Joby J Ford, the band have announced they will release their single ’16,16, Six’ through Wichita Recordings on June 5.

Their self-titled debut album is set to hit the shops on April 24 and follows the limited edition 7” only release, ‘Broken’.

The Drips will also embark on a short UK tour in April in support of the LP.

The band will play:

Manchester Roadhouse (April 23)
London Barfly (24)
York Barfly (25)

The Drips’ album was recorded in just two days in late summer 2005 at Wet & Dry Studios in Eagle Rock, California.

Caughthran, Ford, Belivaqua are joined by drummer David Hidalgo Jr and Vincent Hidalgo for the project.
