Eagles and Dixie Chicks to inaugurate new LA venue
The Nokia Theater opens this autumn
Eagles and the Dixie Chicks are set to play the first two shows at a large new venue when it opens in downtown Los Angeles this autumn.
Eagles will headline the 7,100-seat theatre on October 18 and 20 with support from the Dixie Chicks. These are the bands' only scheduled live dates this year.
The California legends will be supporting their new album, 'Long Road Out of Eden', which is slated for an October release. It is the Eagles' first studio album since 1979.
The Nokia Theatre is adjacent to the Los Angeles Staples Center (home of the Grammy Awards) and is part of the 4-million-square-foot LA Live complex.
