Dizzee Rascal and the Sugarhill Gang are set to record a song together.

Master Gee of the veteran rap act told BBC 6Music that the gang met the London rapper in New York recently, and now plan to enter the studio with him.

"It's in the works to do a song with him," Master Gee said. "He came to the States about two months ago. We ran into him when he invited us to come down to his club in New York.

"Wow, kick ass show. The tracks were crazy, they were spittin' real hard."

The Sugarhill Gang, best known for their 1979 hit 'Rapper's Delight', have been working on new material, set for release early next year.

"We've been in the studio with a lot of young and up-and-coming producers," said Master Gee. "We're writing and we're playing some stuff ourselves. It's hot, definitely."
