Beach Break Live festival searching for new location

Cornish event under threat of cancellation

Organisers of the Beach Break Live festival are searching for a new location after planning permission for the event was refused.

The student-only bash had been set to kick off on June 16 in St Agnes in Cornwall, with Dizzee Rascal, Mystery Jets and Friendly Fires among those due to perform.

However, on May 27 the local council's planning committee voted against granting permission for the event to go ahead on the proposed site. Organisers are currently looking into staging the event at a different location.

They have said that if a suitable site is not found ticket holders will receive refunds, and plan to release an update later today (June 9).

See the festival's official website, Beachbreaklive.com, for more information.
