Welcome to the Daily Gossip: your daily stop-off to find out who in the world of music has been up to what.
Today’s top gossip:
Dizzee Rascal says he wants to be given a part on 'EastEnders'. The Bow-born rapper admitted he's keen to move into acting, and thinks the London soap is the perfect programme for him. "'EastEnders' means a lot to me, because I'm from the east end," he said. "I've thought about acting a couple of times. It is something I want to break into soon. It would be a natural progression."
The Londoner added that he's waiting for producers to find him a role in the soap. "I could see myself on 'EastEnders' one day – they just need to offer me a role and I'm there" (The Sun).
From the papers:
Jimmy Page ate dim sum in Paddington, London (Daily Mirror).
Robbie Williams says he's been being a "food ninja" – where he eats nothing he likes in order to slim down quickly. "No cake, no crisps, no chocolate," he said. "Surprisingly easier than I thought it would be" (The Sun).
Noel Gallagher went window shopping with daughter Anais on London's Fulham Road (Daily Mirror).
Michael Jackson's songs are set to be covered for a tribute album by the likes of Madonna, Mariah Carey, Stevie Wonder, Robbie Williams and 'Britain's Got Talent' star Shaheen Jafargholi (Daily Star).
Calvin Harris recruited 16 bikini-wearing girls to star in his new video for 'Ready For The Weekend' (The Sun).
Florence Welch of Florence And The Machine has been "outed as a wild party animal", all because she got told off by club owners for being drunk and dancing on the tables in Ibiza nightclub Eden (Daily Star).
